Welcome to Written Whimsy, my name is Louise, and I’m so glad you’ve found me. My passion is the written word, and I am eternally charmed by the whimsy and wonder of imagination and storytelling. I’ve been a voracious reader for as long as I can remember, and somewhere along the way I started writing my own stories, graduating from handwritten notebooks to word processors.

I’ve participated in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), and I’m proud to say, completed the 50,000 word challenge a half dozen times. I’ve completed the Proofread Anywhere: Theory and Practice online course, which requires a 90% or higher result on the final exam to pass. I’ve always had a knack for spotting typos and grammatical errors, and after this rigorous program I have the skills to help other writers put their best foot forward. I would love nothing more than to help transform what you’ve written into something polished and brilliant, ready to share with the world.

Before taking time off to raise my family I worked for nonprofit organizations as an event coordinator.  

I’m a mother to three amazing kids, a cat and a dog, and wife to a hardworking and immensely supportive husband. When my nose isn’t stuck in a book, I enjoy gaming, both tabletop and electronic, gardening, and catching up on some of my favorite shows.
